Information you share when contacting me
Eudald Ferrer Ibáñez is the data controller. Providing data is voluntary, but we need a reply address and enough information to handle your enquiry. We do not make solely automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects on you.
Contact currently uses an email link. Your message is not sent by the website: you prepare and send it in your email app. If you send it, the recipient receives your address, the name you provide, the message and any attachments. Share only information needed to describe your project.
Purpose and legal basis
We handle enquiries about a potential project and quote requests to take steps at your request before entering a contract (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)). To respond to other communications, such as website error reports, we rely on our legitimate interest in handling them and maintaining the service (Article 6(1)(f)); you may object on grounds relating to your situation.
The website includes Google Analytics only with your consent to measure visits and page use. It has no newsletter, accounts or payments. An enquiry does not subscribe you to marketing.
Google Analytics: optional analytics
Google Analytics, provided by Google, uses _ga to distinguish browsers and _ga_CH0WY2XEN0 to maintain session information. We configure these cookies for 180 days without automatic renewal. They only load after acceptance and are not needed to browse.
Measurement includes visited pages and technical browser or device information. We do not enable personalised advertising. Google receives data when you allow analytics; processing may involve locations outside the EEA, including the United States. Google’s published transfer safeguards are described below.
The property is set to retain user and event data covered by this control for 14 months. This is separate from cookie expiry and does not apply to standard aggregated reports. The ‘Google products & services’ data sharing option is disabled. ‘Reset on new activity’ is enabled: each new user activity resets the retention period for that user’s data. This means user data may be retained while activity continues to recur.
Google states that it uses the EU-US Data Privacy Framework for covered transfers to the United States and standard contractual clauses where applicable.
Providers, retention and transfers
Hostinger provides hosting and the Hostinger Email service (Free Email plan) for the contact mailbox. The web server is in France and the hosting backup server is in Lithuania. These locations concern the website and its backups, not every provider service. Hosting and email may involve access by authorised staff and subprocessors to provide and protect the service. Hostinger does not publish a single email storage location applicable to this mailbox. You can request information about recipients and safeguards at the contact email.
Enquiries and quotes that do not lead to a contract are deleted 12 months after the last contact. Where a legal obligation or claim requires it, only necessary information is retained for the applicable period, with restricted access. If you commission a project, necessary records are kept during the relationship and for legally required periods. Deletion includes messages and attachments in the active folders and trash that we manage. Provider backups follow a separate cycle: Hostinger does not publish a single overwrite period for messages deleted from an active mailbox. This does not permit reuse for other purposes; if a restore recovers data already deleted, the deletion must be reapplied.
Hostinger’s published agreement provides for subprocessors with service-limited access and standard contractual clauses for certain transfers outside the EEA. The linked agreement describes the published safeguards and subprocessors.
Technical logs and security
When you request a page, the server receives data such as your IP address, date and time, request method and requested resource. These logs are separate from Analytics cookies. They are processed to serve the website, diagnose incidents and prevent abuse, based on the legitimate interest in maintaining a secure service (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)).
The retention criterion is the time needed to investigate incidents and protect the service; where a claim arises, relevant information may be kept while it is handled and for applicable legal periods. Hostinger manages log rotation and does not publish a verified general retention period for this account’s HTTP logs. We do not claim that logs are deleted at the same time as email enquiries. You can request information or erasure, or object to processing, by emailing us; where appropriate, we will forward your request to the provider.
Your rights
You can send data requests to the contact email. Where applicable, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability, or object to processing. Consent can be withdrawn where it is the basis for processing. You may also complain to the competent data protection authority; in Spain, this is the AEPD.
Email info@eudaldferrer.com stating which right you wish to exercise. Requests are free subject to statutory exceptions, and we will respond within one month; if an extension is needed, we will explain why within that period. Do not send an ID copy initially: we will only request additional information if there are reasonable doubts about identity. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing.
